"Sons of old Massachusetts, Devoted daughters true,

Baystate, ol' Baystate,
We'll give our best to you.
Thee, our Alma Mater,
We'll cherish for all time.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Massachusetts, yours and mine."
– Fred D. Griggs (Class of 1913)

I got my diploma in the mail today! Yay! I did a little hoopla-happy-dance by the mailbox when I saw it- I was told not to expect it at least until next month. Icing on the cake? I had no idea I was graduating "Cum Laude" until I saw the diploma. Then I called my mom to soak up a little parental approval- I'm still a sucker. Not that this is going to buy me points for very long- my oldest sister, whose shoes I will never ever fill, is graduating with her PhD in May. Mom says it will be a "joint graduation party". Uh-huh. I'm ok with it. ;)

congrats. For my BD years ago my parents had my first degree framed. I have a little blip of pride every time I pass by it in the hallway. I would love to have degree #2 join it.

Congrants on a wonderful achievement!

And I'm with Sacha- a framed degree is a great thing to look at! My parents bought me the fancy pants school logo frame for my masters degree and I was so excited once I had an office to hang it in.
